2022 Duke of Jupiter

Every year we have a new Duke of Jupiter. This year, it is the General He Er. Hence for those born in the year of the Tiger and  Monkey, you will be under the scrutiny of the Duke. For the Snake and Boar, some temples will probably highlight your afflictions due to a side clash. Traditionally, persons born under the direct clash zodiac signs of Tiger and Monkey are encouraged to appease the Duke of Jupiter and to get his blessing for a smooth year ahead. 

Here in Good Luck Every day, we will recommend all our friends born under the year of the Tiger, Monkey, Snake and the Boar to go to a Taoism temple to offer some prayers to General He. Usually there will be a priest or person at the temple dedicated to help the devotees write their name and birth date on the talisman or paper offerings for such practice. You can also offer some fresh fruits or candy too. 

For those who are “offending” the Duke, you may want  to carry a totem of good luck, the Pixiu which is the 9th Dragon Prince. This auspicious item is believed to  appease the afflictions of the year for you!

Finally, for those who just cannot do anything about this but still hope to sort of reduce your afflictions – TRAVEL !!! ok, i do understand that we are still under the umbrella of this irritating covid pandemic – but we can still “TRAVEL” within the country unless of cos if you are experiencing some city lock-down or so. Just take a very long walk, or a joy ride around the country. This will also to improve your luck!

Oh yes, if you are going for the prayer option, do remember to offer your prayers after the Chinese New Year which falls on 1 Feb 2022!
